Primrose Hills in September is one of Ramiel’s most favorite sight to see. The foliage are turning into golden, orange color; as if they’re competing with the setting sun to be the most golden of all. The breeze is slightly cold, but just right; coz this way he has a reason to hold Haven’s hand inside his pocket.

“Enak ya digandeng disini. Tangannya ga keringetan.”

Ramiel’s bursting out laughing—his girl and her train of thoughts. “Kamu asbun banget sumpah.”

“DARI MANA KAMU TAU ISTILAH ASBUN?”

“That’s where hanging out with Gala takes you, I guess. To the land of new vocabularies.”

Haven pouts. “Emang dasar si paling influence—cuma kenapa yang ditularin hal-hal bego.”

It’s kind of unfamiliar sight, to be honest; seeing Ramiel and Gala hit it off as friends. Haven is still not used to that, yet somehow she’s grateful for their unpredictable friendship. They bonded over something that couldn’t be comprehended completely by Haven—grief. Grief is painful yet… sadly beautiful, in its own way. Haven has seen it destroyed the people she loves—and in the same strange way—built them up again in different shape. They’re still the same people Haven knows but just softer, kinder, and full of compassion. Haven sometimes thinks that she can see some kind of clouds hanging above them and maybe that’s grief—it lingers forever, in some days it brings rain, some other days it paints the blue sky like white cottons, but it’s always there. When it gets dark it’s heavy and thunderous—however when the days get too sunny and you’re sitting in a park somewhere with someone you love, and it shadows you from the sun.

Haven realized that in order for Ramiel to make peace with his grief, she needs to be at peace with it, too. She respects the love Ramiel has for Eden without thinking that it will reduce the love Ramiel has for Haven. “There’s no such thing as secondhand love, Sayang,” he said. “My love for you is new, and it’s always growing; the difference is it’s growing in a big park and I will always have the space to contain its growth. Whereas my love for Eden is like a preserved flower inside a glass jar—it’s still there, stays in the same color, but it also stays in the same size.”

That’s when she knew it.

She braces herself for the plan and her heart is beating like crazy—she feels as if she’s about to vomit. She can’t believe she will eventually reach this point in life.

“Sayang, aku ada janji mau ketemu orang disini… Is that okay?”

Ramiel squints his eyes at Haven. “Huh? You have friends in London? You’ve never told me.”

“Well, you’re gonna meet her anytime soon. I bet she knows you, too.”

Ramiel still looks at Haven with his puzzled facr, but he nods in agreement. Just then, a girl in her 15s walks up to their direction, and Haven stands up to wrap her with a hug. Ramiel follows behind her, still with the same confused look.

“Hi, Cana. Thank you for meeting me here.”

“Anytime, Haven. I’m so glad to finally meet you,” she says as she moves her eyes to Ramiel, “And you too, Ramiel.”

Ramiel looks surprised—but he extends his hand for a handshake. “Hi, hello. You guys are… friends?” Maybe it’s an unlikely sight for him, to see Haven befriends a teenager.

“In a way,” Haven laughs as she puts her arm around Cana’s shoulder. “She’s here to deliver something to you, but she wants to say something first.”
