It’s 9 PM. Haven just finished showering, and as she dries her hair she can hear Julius enter her apartment. Loony zooms to the door —it‘s habitual of her to greet her favorite person, and usually, she will linger on his feet until Julius picks her up and holds her like a baby.

She looks at her phone as it lights up due to a notification —and then she remembers she blocked Ramiel since few days ago. She blocked every channels, so unless Ramiel gets a new number or makes a twitter account or something he won’t be able to reach her. Haven knows he’s been asking about her through Dara, so Haven stops replying to her messages as well.

She’s never agreed to a silent treatment before, but this one is never to punish him. She just needs to clear her head without having to wait for his texts.

Yet at the absence of him, Haven finds herself yearning for him even more. It feels like she does a surgery to remove a limb without having any anesthesia. She misses him —but this lone battle had made her weary. She wished it was easy to love him and to help him heal; but as it turned out love isn’t enough anymore.

“Ven?” Julius calls from outside her bedroom. She turns of her dryer and goes out to find Julius on her coach, cuddling with Loony. Boxes of her favorite dumplings are on the kitchen counter, along with her favorite green soju. “Oh? I thought no liquor.”

“Well, apparently I can never say no to you,” answers Julius as he turns on the TV. “Numpang mandi dong, Jules. Gerah banget.”

Haven goes back to her room to get Jules a new towel and a set of new toiletries, then she proceeds to hand them to him. “Bawa baju?”

“Bawa. Gue mandi dulu, ya. Lu makan duluan aja gapapa.”

“Nope, I can wait. Ga enak makan sendirian.”

“Oh iya, tadi gue ada ngirim barang kesini, harus diambil ke receptionist apa bisa dianterin ke atas?”

Haven picks up her phone and types few words on it. “Dianter aja, ini gue udah WA satpam bawah. Males banget naik turun.”

“Okay then, thanks.”

Haven throws herself on her coach as the sound of the water is heard from the bathroom. She picks her remote and start to browse through her watchlist. As she’s still considering in between watching The Glory or Stranger Things, the doorbell rings. She gets up to open the door, expecting the apartment’s security in front of it, delivering Julius’ stuff.

But no.

It’s Ramiel.

He still wears his winter clothes, with long black coat and disheveled hair. His luggage still got the baggage check label on it, so he must have gone straight here from the airport. His face lights up as he sees Haven —while she doesn’t know what to say. Or what to think.

This wasn’t on her agenda for tonight.

“Haven…”
